Tutors Cafe was launched in 2002 to provide an easy place for students to find a personal tutor for any subject, as well as offering an inexpensive yet effective place for tutors to publicise their services.

The site was started by a personal tutor who was tired of ineffective and time consuming publicity when first starting out, agencies that seemed to offer little added value, and the fact that some 'free ad' publications saw tuition services as commerical and requiring higher rates.

In 2004, we invested in new technology to allow tutors and students to find each other even easier. A basic tutors listing remains free, but we now offer enchanced accounts to make the site even more effective. This allows for longer descriptions, the ability to link a website, and even to provide visual adverts to help tutors stand out from the crowd.
